Christmas Acres at Copper Creek is Back for 2022
Christmas Acres is coming back for another magical season at Copper Creek in Nisswa, Minnesota. Find all the Christmas spirit with Santa visits, hayrides, live music, bonfires, ornament making, and so much more! Explore holiday fun across our charming acreage lit up by Christmas lights along with our beautiful ice-skating rink. Walk throughout the Garden Center and Greenhouse decked out with Christmas Trees, Christmas and holiday décor, and activities spread throughout. The magic continues inside The Market with more shopping, Letters to Santa Station, and our Face Painting room. Christmas Acres starts Friday evening, November 25 at 4:00pm. The Christmas Acres festivities runs Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. Christmas Acres ends on Sunday, December 18.
Live Santa Visits
Santa and Mrs. Claus are on their way to Copper Creek from the North Pole. Mr. Claus will be at Copper Creek every Saturday starting November 26 – December 17. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be in the Greenhouse for children to meet, sit on Santa’s lap, and get a photo together. Santa visits will be on Saturdays from 12:00PM to 4:00pm. Please be sure to follow our signage for the Santa visiting lines. Santa is also joining us for our Toy Making Class! He’s been speaking with the elves and brought back some toy making kits! Be sure to click on the event for more details.
Hayrides
Back again for the second year of our Christmas Acres… hayrides! Step aboard the wagon lit up with Christmas lights. Bundle up, bring your blankets, and go for a magical hayride pulled by a tractor. Take a ride down Hazelwood Drive and through our Christmas lit grounds. Hayrides are scheduled on Fridays from 5:00PM – 7:00PM and Saturdays from 3:00PM – 6:30PM.
Ice Skating Rink
You can really feel the Christmas magic when you skate on our big rink. Located in front of the Greenhouse, the ice-skating rink is surrounded by Christmas trees, and Christmas lights strung above. Enjoy Christmas music as you glide across the rink. The rink will be open when weather allows and stays consistently below freezing. The ice-skating rink is available all week long. Please bring your own skates. We do not offer skates rentals.
Face Painting
If you have been to any of our past events, you know Mimi Paints U is fantastic when it comes to themed and beautiful face paintings. Mimi Paints U is back for another season for our Christmas Acres events! Get ready for Christmas elves, reindeer, Santa, The Grinch, and so many more themes of face paintings! Mimi Paints U is located in The Market. Cost of face painting is $6-$12 per child. Tickets for face painting can be purchased at the register inside The Market. Mimi Paints U will be available every weekend of Christmas Acres. On Saturdays she will be available from 12:00PM – 6:30PM and Sundays from 11:00AM – 3:00PM.
Holiday Music Special
New this year we welcome Bruce Archer to Christmas Acres. Bruce Archer is going to bring some extra magic by his blues-infused Christmas music. Mr. Archer is quite talented with his finger-picking and slides on his acoustic guitar along with his authentic singing voice. See Bruce Archer on these Saturday nights: December 3, December 10, and December 17 from 4PM – 7PM in the Garden Center.
Keepsake Ornament Decorating
Another hit from last year’s Christmas Acres was our Ornament Decorating Station. Here you can decorate a plastic, globe ornament. Fill it with glitter, artificial snow, berries, and what have you, along with our 2022 signature collection card that fits perfectly inside. Bring your ornament home to decorate the tree and keep the tradition going year after year! The Ornament Decorating Station is in The Greenhouse and is available all day, every day during our Christmas Acres business hours.
Letters to Santa
Have you been naughty or nice? Come on into The Market to write your letter to Santa. Last year we received hundreds of letters from children telling Santa about their stories. Telling him their Christmas wants and wishes. Drop your letters into our North Pole mailbox and we will ship them off! Santa even sent a response last year! Don’t forget to check out some of our favorite letters we received last year here. We can’t wait to see what children have in store for Santa this year! Letters to Santa station is in The Market and is available all day, every day during our business hours.
Christmas Shopping
The Market, Garden Center, and the Greenhouse are all filled with Christmas favorites! Do you have some Christmas Shopping to do? We have the perfect selections for those unique Christmas gifts. We also have a wide variety of Christmas houseplants, poinsettias, wreaths, garland, kissing balls, spruce tops, and real Christmas trees! We have a variety if Fraser Fir Christmas Trees, Balsam Christmas Trees, Scotch Pine Christmas Trees, and White Pine Christmas Trees. Come to Christmas Acres for the fun and to haul away your beautiful Christmas Tree!
Classes and Workshops
We offer even more fun with our Christmas-themed classes and workshops. Join one of our classes to spark your creativity and have some fun with friends or family.
